Umbria boasts vast panoramas and a rich history dating back to Etruscan times.
Located in the “Green Heart of Italy,” bordering Tuscany, the region reflects the spareness of medieval times in its landscape of towns, villages and castles. Its views inspire, a slower pace of life relaxes, and Umbrian kitchens create memories. Nearby one finds Assisi, Orvieto, Montepulciano, Gubbio, Spoleto, Bevagna, Narni and Todi, some of Italyʼs most beautiful towns.Their many surrounding villages blend to create impressions of wonder. A NEW YORK TIMES article in the early 90ʼs declared Todi to be the “worldʼs most livable town”. Situated in the Middle Tiber Valley, Todi is the ideal example of a medieval Umbrian hill town. The stark simplicity of its Piazza del Popolo, the scene of public life since Etruscan and Roman times, makes it one of the most spectacular public squares in Italy.*
